Imagine that you have a cool electronics store: laptops, smartphones, headphones – whatever your heart desires. You have designed everything well, added photos, descriptions, even linked promotions. But… for some reason people don’t come in. Or they come in and immediately leave. And there are few purchases.

Sound familiar? The reason is SEO. If Google doesn’t see your site or doesn’t understand what’s on it, then people won’t see it either. In this article, I will tell you without complicated terms how to make people find your site, go to it and buy.

What is SEO and why is it necessary?

SEO is when you "make friends" with Google. Make it so that the search engine understands that you have a useful site where you can buy good equipment. Then it will show your store higher in the search results. And the higher the site is, the more people visit it.

Imagine that you are searching for a smartphone for up to 10,000 UAH in Google. You will click on the first 2-3 sites, right? And your customers do the same.

Where to start: looking for the right phrases

The first thing to understand is what people type into Google when they search for technology . These could be phrases like:

  • "buy a Dell laptop in Lviv"

  • "which smartwatch is better 2025"

  • "e-book with backlight reviews"

These phrases are called keywords . This is what you need to build your site on. You don’t have to pay to find them. You can just start typing words into Google and see what it suggests. You can also use free services: Google Keyword Planner, Ubersuggest, or even chatbots.

A friendly tip: don't chase the most popular words like "smartphone". The competition there is insane. It's better to choose longer and more specific queries.

Don't copy other people's descriptions - write your own

Many people simply copy product descriptions from other sites. But this is a bad idea. Google sees duplicates and does not show such pages at the top.

It is much better if you write a short, human description in your own words. For example:

Bad: "Display 6.5", Snapdragon 695 processor, 50 MP camera…"

Good: "This phone is perfect for those who like to take pictures and watch videos. Large screen, normal battery and a camera that really shoots beautifully - especially during the day."

Such texts are pleasant to read, and Google understands what the page is about. And it is also cool to have a video review, answers to frequently asked questions, reviews - all this improves trust.

Site speed is no joke

In 2025, Google won't wait for your site to load. And neither will people. If a page takes longer than 3 seconds to load, most will simply leave.

What to check:

  • Do pages open quickly?

  • Is it convenient to use on a phone?

  • Are there any broken pages (404)?

  • Or is the structure logical? (main → category → product)

Check your site through PageSpeed Insights — and fix at least the worst errors. This will already give a plus.

How to Design a Product Page That Google and People Love

The product page is your main salesperson. It either sells or it doesn't. What should it contain?

  • Title – clear, with keywords.

  • Description – human, short, no fluff.

  • Photos – from different sides, high-quality.

  • Video – super, if available.

  • Table of features.

  • Customer reviews

  • Answers to questions (e.g. "is it suitable for games?").

If you add the Buyers Frequently Asked Questions block, it will help people and add a bonus to SEO.

Links are like recommendations

Google looks not only at what you have on your site, but also at who links to it. Roughly speaking: the more sites that say "this store is ok" - the better.

Where to get good links:

  • Write a review on a thematic blog and add a link to yourself.

  • Add the site to directories.

  • Ask clients to leave a review with a link.

  • Be active on forums and comment on topics about technology.

Don't buy "1000 links for 100 hryvnia". It doesn't work. Google sees it and can punish you.

Social networks also work

Google in 2025 takes into account activity in social networks. If the page is shared, discussed, this is a plus.

You don't need to manage all social networks at once. Choose 1-2 and work with them regularly. For example:

  • Instagram - good photos and short reviews

  • TikTok - video reviews and "unboxings"

  • YouTube - full reviews of equipment

And just tell customers, "Point us aside," or "Leave comments." That's the live activity that Google loves.

Table - a simple action plan

Step What to do in your own words
1. Keywords Think about how people search for technology. Write out 30-50 phrases
2. Description of goods Write briefly and clearly, as if you were telling a friend
3. Site speed Check that everything loads quickly and is convenient from the phone
4. Page design Photos, descriptions, characteristics, reviews – everything that will help you buy
5. Links Make other sites mention you too
6. Social networks Create an Instagram or TikTok to show the product in action
7. reviews Ask clients to write honestly. Reply to comments.
8. Analysis See what works, what doesn't. Change texts, refresh pages.

And finally, the main advice

All SEO comes down to one thing: make the site convenient and understandable for real people . Not for robots, not for show, but for those who are really looking for technology.

Write as you speak. Explain as you would explain to a friend. And then Google will show you, because it also wants to give people useful sites.
