Social networks have long become a part of our everyday life. We woke up - we watched the feed. We are waiting for the minibus - we scroll through Instagram. And we often look for something useful there: advice, videos, courses. That is why, if you have a website with online courses - social networks are simply created to find out about you.

In this article, I will tell you in simple words how you can use social networks so that more people visit your website, buy your courses and Google sees you better. Without complex terms and "smart" phrases - only practical advice.

Why even need social media for a course website?

Imagine that you have created a cool course — useful, interesting, conveniently presented. But no one knows about it. Social networks are like a mouthpiece. There you can:

  • Tell us about your course

  • Show us who you are

  • Get your first customers

  • And even help Google understand that your site is useful

And people can share your posts, write reviews, leave comments. All of this helps you grow.

1. Create pages on social networks

This is the first and very important step. You don’t have to be everywhere at once — it’s better to choose 2–3 platforms where your target audience is.

  • Facebook is a universal network, there are both young people and older people.

  • Instagram is full of visuals, stories, reels, ideal for courses in design, style, and creativity.

  • LinkedIn is where specialists, managers, HR, and IT professionals gather.

  • TikTok is for young people, trends, and easy videos. If you can shoot, it's gold.

  • YouTube takes more time and effort, but it's a very high-quality audience.

  • Telegram is where you can run a channel, make collections of useful content, and share links.

2. Design your profiles properly

I often see people create a page but don't even have a description. Don't be lazy - your profile should "say" who you are and what you offer.

  • Write a few simple sentences: who you are, what you do, how you help

  • Add a link to your website

  • Upload a normal photo or logo

  • Add a couple of keywords and hashtags

For example:

🎓 Online English courses for adults
🌍 We study at a convenient time, without cramming
🔗 kurssite.com

3. Share content — but not just “selling” content

If the page only says “buy course” people will run away. You need to show that you are not just selling something, but also really useful.

What you can publish:

  • Tips on your topic (e.g. “3 mistakes in learning English”)

  • Short video lessons

  • Behind the scenes (how you film the course, what kind of team you have)

  • Student reviews

  • Memes or something everyday (so that the page “lives” and does not look like a storefront)

The main thing is to add a link to your website. Or write how to find you on Google.

4. Run advertising - it's hard to do without it now

Advertising on social networks is like a turbo button. You can very precisely adjust who you want to show to: by age, city, interests.

In 2025, advertising has become even “smarter” — it learns itself, to whom it is better to show your ads.

Where is it better to launch:

  • Facebook/Instagram — universal, suitable for courses on various topics

  • TikTok — if you have videos and a young audience

  • LinkedIn — for professional courses (management, IT, HR, etc.)

You don't need to invest thousands of hryvnias right away. Start small — even 200–300 UAH per week will bring in the first applications.

5. Communicate with subscribers

People love to be talked to. And social media algorithms love activity.

  • Reply to comments

  • Ask your followers questions (e.g., “What topic should I take for my next course?”)

  • Create polls

  • Thank them for likes and reposts

This creates a lively atmosphere, and people are more likely to approach you.

6. Join groups where your audience is.

This is especially true for Facebook and LinkedIn. There are many thematic groups - for example, for designers, marketers, teachers, IT professionals.

There you can:

  • Give helpful comments

  • Share tips

  • And unobtrusively mention your courses

Just don't spam, please. People don't like that.

7. Use hashtags

They help your posts appear in search. This works especially well on Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

Examples:

  • #courseonline

  • #learnenglish

  • #coursesukrainian

  • #learning2025

  • #designforbeginners

Don't use 30 hashtags - 5–10 are better, but thematic ones.

8. Follow the results

Don't just run around aimlessly. See what works and what doesn't. There are many tools for this:

  • Facebook / Instagram Statistics

  • Google Analytics (GA4)

  • Page Views, Clicks

  • Which Posts Get More Comments or Saves

Even if you're not an "analyst," just take a look every month: what worked, what didn't. And do more of what's working.

Table: Which social networks are best for which courses

Social network Who is suitable for? What to do
Facebook All audiences Posts, groups, advertising
Instagram Youth, creativity Visuals, stories, reels
TikTok Young Short videos, trends
LinkedIn Professionals Tips, articles, advertising
Telegram Those who "love to read" Channels, selections, news
YouTube Different age groups Course reviews, mini-lessons

What's new in 2025?

Some fresh trends:

  • People are watching more short videos (up to 60 seconds) — especially TikTok, Reels, Shorts

  • More and more people are listening, not reading — think about audio content

  • AI advertising has become very accurate — you can “hit the bull’s eye”

  • Live broadcasts have become fashionable again — especially short ones (10–15 min)

Let's summarize

If you have online courses, you should definitely use social media. Start small:

  1. Create pages

  2. Add useful posts

  3. Communicate with followers

  4. Run small ads

  5. See what works

And most importantly, do everything humanly. Without unnecessary pathos. Just tell us how you can help. People feel it.
