Goals and tasks set by the client

The client's site was losing positions in search results, traffic was falling. It was necessary to find out the reasons for the negative dynamics of the site in terms of key indicators, develop recommendations, make changes and change the dynamics to positive in four key cities: Kharkiv, Kyiv, Odessa, Poltava. The project had to be completed in a very short time frame.

Project Description

Express site audit

The client's business has a pronounced seasonality, which extremely limited the time to find problems and implement solutions. In this regard, it was decided to limit ourselves to an express audit of the company's website, which, although not carried out to the full “depth”, includes all areas:

  • technical audit
  • search audit
  • usability check
  • link audit

As a result, numerous problems were identified that pulled the site to the bottom:

  • technical errors (loading speed problems, lack of microdata, problems in the site structure, etc.)
  • errors in meta tags and titles
  • link loss
  • problems with filling the site (duplicate texts, mixed up language versions, etc.)

As a result of the audit, recommendations were formed to eliminate errors, where the identified problems were described in understandable language, the need and ways to eliminate them were substantiated. Since the technical part of the task was performed by the client's programmers, a technical task was developed in the form of a checklist, which was submitted to work.

Since the responsibility for the final result lies with us, we always control the correctness of the changes made, which was done in this case, after the work of the programmers was completed.

After the elimination of all errors, an additional full check of the site for errors was carried out. In addition, throughout the entire period of work on the site, its condition was regularly monitored for errors and comments.

The preparatory work carried out greatly simplified the subsequent promotion of the site, saving time and resources necessary to achieve the goal.

 


Website promotion

The express audit carried out at the initial stage made it possible to form a pool of primary tasks at the initial stage of promotion. The identified errors and problems were immediately eliminated. For example, the reasons for the loss of reference mass were identified. The problem was solved, the links stopped disappearing.

Already at this stage, it was possible to stop the fall and stabilize the position of the site in the search results.

At the next stage of work to promote the client's website, an analysis of competitors was carried out and a promotion strategy was developed. All upcoming work was divided into clear stages, which is extremely important to achieve the goal, especially given the extremely limited time frame. The project work plan included:

  • revision and refinement of the semantic core of the site
  • development of a content plan for changing the text content of the key pages of the KT-steel website
  • increasing the link profile of the customer's website
  • work with ratings and reviews
  • placement of crowd links
  • placement of advertising and news articles on the resources of target cities.

Already from the first month of operation, the site visibility dynamics in Google search results was not only stabilized, but also moved into the area of ​​positive values. The site stopped sagging and began to show more and more confident growth.

Throughout the entire period of work on the project, all the main indicators of the site were monitored, and the necessary adjustments were made to the plan. No matter how important the plan is within the established milestones, flexibility allows you to achieve maximum results and reach the TOP with much less effort and time.

During the work on the project, numerous errors were corrected, including critical ones, shortcomings in the structure and content of the site were eliminated. At the final stage of the project, the KT-Steel website not only recovered, but also reached the TOP to higher positions with a large number of pages, according to a larger list of requests.
